SEATTLE, WA – October 22nd, 2014 — One Mind, a patient advocacy non-profit organization, announced today it will be presenting at the Cavendish Global Health Impact Forum taking place November 10-13th at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. The purpose of the Forum is to help family offices and foundations develop and implement their individual pro-social impact investing, grant-giving, and philanthropy programs within health and the life sciences. To accomplish this mission the Forum showcases presentations and panel discussions by leading scientists, accomplished healthcare delivery professionals, health-policy experts and private-sector companies engaged in developing innovations with the potential for transformational impact on disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
The quality and originality of One Mind’s rapid success in convening collaborative, open science within neuroscience positions them to make a major contribution to the development and implementation of improved diagnostics, treatments, and cures for diseases and injuries of the brain.
“We are honored to be engaged in partnership with this unique community. We very much look forward to telling our story at Oxford. Our inclusion in the Cavendish community is further recognition of our innovative approach to improving the lives of those suffering from the many brain diseases and injuries afflicting populations around the world today,” said Pete Chiarelli, CEO of One Mind. “We welcome the chance to interact with many of world’s leading scientific minds, thought-leaders and generous individuals and families who are all dedicated to the common cause of improving the health and lives of people around the world and who have the ability to assist One Mind in making an important contribution to global health.”
