Thank you for your willingness to set up an online fundraiser in support of One Mind. At this time, we are utilizing two online fundraising platforms that you can leverage to set up a page and share with your friends and family (Facebook and Crowdrise). The instructions on how to set up a fundraising page on both of these platforms are included below:
One Mind currently has a ‘Holiday Challenge’ fundraiser currently active on Crowdrise.com that we would appreciate you linking your Crowdrise.com fundraiser to. To do this, first go to this fundraiser, by clicking HERE. Once on our page, please follow the steps below:
Step #1 – Click the “Join the Team and create your own fundraiser” button located on the right side of the page.
Step #2 – As the example shows to the right, your name should show up on the list of supporting fundraisers. Click your fundraiser to go to your individual fundraising page.
Step #3 – If you have yet to do so, create and add a background photo and profile photo to your fundraising page. Our recommendation is to use images that help tell the story to why you are supporting our One Mind fundraiser.
Step #4 – Select our current One Mind “Healthy Brains for All – Accelerating Neuropsychiatric Brain Research” fundraiser from the list of fundraisers shown on the bottom of the screen (If you have never used Crowdrise before, our fundraiser will be the only one listed).
Step #5 – Select the ‘edit’ button on the top right corner to customize your page. On the next page, scroll over the ‘fundraiser’ graphic and click ‘edit’ once prompted.
Step #6 – The text of our main fundraiser will automatically populate. To make your fundraiser more meaningful to your friends, family and supporters, we recommend that you include some personal information to why you are raising funds in support of One Mind and our mission of accelerating cures for brain illnesses and injuries. If you have them, be sure to add photos and/or a video. Once updated, click ‘save’ at the base of the page.
After pressing save in step #6 above, your page should be active and ready to share on Facebook, Twitter or via email (by copying and pasting the URL link). For our current #GivingTuesday / Holiday Challenge’ campaign, we recommend that you share your fundraiser multiple times before, on and after #GivingTuesday (which is on Tues, November 27th). Our Crowdrise fundraiser is active from November 26th to January 2nd, so anytime between this window will help. Thank you again for your support!
On Facebook, there are three ways that you can significantly help us in our #GivingTuesday fundraising efforts. They are (1) building a Facebook fundraiser that designates One Mind as the beneficiary, (2) donating directly to our existing One Mind #GivingTuesday fundraiser, and/or (3) sharing our #GivingTuesday fundraiser with your Facebook friends.

To set up your own Facebook fundraiser that designates One Mind as the official beneficiary, please follow the instructions below.
Step #2 – On the fundraisers page, click the blue “+ Raise Money” button.
Step #3 – On the “Lets start with the basics page”, fill in the amount of money you would like to raise via your fundraiser and edit the date so that your fundraiser ends on November 28, 2018 (the day after Giving Tuesday). Click ‘Next’.
Step #4 – In the “Tell your Story” screen, edit the name of your fundraiser so that it says “(Your Name)’s #GivingTuesday fundraiser for One Mind”. Facebook auto-populates some text for the “why are you raising money” field. It’s up to you to decide what text you would like on your fundraiser. If you are raising funds as a tribute to someone you know, this is a great place to mention it. If you need more info about One Mind, be sure to check out our www.onemind.org website.
Step #5 – Now pick the cover photo for your fundraiser. Facebook auto-populates our One Mind #GivingTuesday banner image. It’s fine to use that image, but if you have one that better communicates your direct connection to brain health, upload that instead.
After clicking ‘create’ your fundraiser will be published and it will show up on the ‘Fundraisers’ page of our One Mind Facebook page. Once created, be sure to share and promote your fundraiser on Facebook and if you are willing via an email to your friends. Remember, our request is that you set your fundraiser to end on November 28th. If you would like to fundraise after this date, we recommend that you set up a fundraiser on Crowdrise.com that allows for an end date of January 2nd, 2019.
