Joe Corkery, M.D. is a seasoned product leader with 25 years of experience building and bringing brand new products to market for the healthcare, life sciences, and general technology industries.

Most recently, Joe was the founder and general manager of a new product initiative, applying operations research to healthcare processes, within Area 120, Google’s internal incubator. Previously, he co-founded the Google Cloud Healthcare & Life Sciences organization, where he launched a large portfolio of new product offerings focused on data interoperability, data analytics, data protection, and artificial intelligence. He has also held product leadership roles in the areas of privacy, security, and site reliability engineering.

Prior to Google, Joe spent 15 years working on computational drug discovery at OpenEye Scientific as a software engineer, product manager, and business leader. Before that, he was a scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Joe received his MD from Harvard Medical School and his BSE in computer science from Princeton University.
