Nicole Stelter, PhD, LMFT

Nicole Stelter, Ph.D., LMFT, is Director of Behavioral Health at Blue Shield of California, where she helps advance behavioral health strategy and serves as a clinical advisor across behavioral health initiatives including products, clinical strategy, and market engagement. With more than 30 years of experience in behavioral health, she has held leadership roles spanning clinical care, employer and workforce mental health, products, data & analytics, and strategic engagement. Prior to Blue Shield, she served as Director of Strategic Customer Engagement for Mental Health and Health Equity at Kaiser Permanente.

Dr. Stelter holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and maintains certifications in trauma and disaster behavioral health. Her clinical work has focused on occupational behavioral health and supporting first responders, and she previously served as a Behavioral Health Officer in the California Army National Guard/State Military Reserve.
