Pascal Bonaventure, a neuropharmacologist, is the Biology Team leader for Neuropsychiatry Discovery at Janssen based in San Diego CA. He leads the Biology Team’s work to apply cutting-edge molecular biological techniques to better understand brain disorders and discover innovative new treatments that have the potential to reduce the burden, disability and devastation caused by neuropsychiatric diseases. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Liege (Belgium), a master’s degree in Pharmacology/Toxicology from the University of Montpellier (France) and his doctorate in Neuroscience from the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). He began his career at Janssen in 1999. Pascal has authored or coauthored more than 90 research papers. Besides enjoying spending time with his family, Pascal is an avid mountain biker.
