Dr. Li’s group is leveraging multi-omic and computational methods to uncover the genetic basis of complex diseases, advancing reproducible, large-scale biomedical research.

Dr. Jun Li is Professor and Chair for Research in Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics and Professor of Human Genetics at the University of Michigan Medical School. His lab uses genomic and computational approaches to investigate the genetic and functional basis of complex diseases, with NIH-supported projects spanning addiction, exercise biology, and reproductive health. He co-directs the Michigan Center for Single-Cell Genomic Data Analytics and the Single-Cell Spatial Analysis Program, integrating multi-omic, bioinformatic, and evolutionary approaches to genome-scale data. Committed to transparency and reproducibility, Dr. Li advances community-driven science while training the next generation of data-driven biomedical researchers.
