Dr. Yevgenia Kozorovitskiy
Dr. Kozorovitskiy’s multidisciplinary lab has set new standards for exploring neuromodulation and synaptic plasticity, providing insights into how experience reshapes neural circuits.
Dr. Yevgenia Kozorovitskiy is the Irving M. Klotz Professor and Associate Professor of Neurobiology at Northwestern University, where she leads a multidisciplinary lab investigating how neuromodulation and experience shape neural circuits, particularly within the basal ganglia. Her research spans systems to molecular neuroscience and aims to uncover how neural
circuit design principles support behavior and break down in disease. The lab is known for its innovative use of tools like two-photon imaging, optogenetics, electrophysiology, and rapid 3D fluorescence imaging to explore brain development, synaptic plasticity, and neuromodulatory dynamics. Dr. Kozorovitskiy earned her Ph.D. from Princeton University.
