On March 23, 2026, One Mind welcomed a community of artists, scientists, advocates, and supporters to Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City for Apollo & Psyche: An Evening of Musical Performance for Mental Health, a moving program that explored the deep and enduring connection between music and healing.
Guided by the myth of Apollo, god of both music and medicine, and Psyche, the embodiment of the human soul, the evening’s program, titled Pathways, unfolded as a symbolic journey through the many dimensions of mental health: commitment, connection, resilience, and empowerment. Under the musical direction of pianist Elaine Kwon, the night featured performances by GRAMMY-winning songwriter Desmond Child, acclaimed Broadway vocalists Syndee Winters and Tamar Greene, dancers from the Paul Taylor Dance Company, and original comedic theatrical intermezzos that added warmth and narrative depth throughout the evening.
A special highlight of the night was the presentation of the 2026 One Mind Leadership Award to Bristol Myers Squibb, recognizing their continued commitment to advancing brain health research and expanding access to care.
From the opening notes to the final standing ovation, Apollo & Psyche offered more than a performance, it was a shared experience, and a collective reminder that no one walks their mental health journey alone.
