Annette B. Smith

Annette is a retired PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) tax partner with a passion for mental health advocacy. She spent 20 years as a tax partner in PwC’s Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) practice where she consulted on complex tax accounting method and period issues for large multinational corporations. Annette also led the Federal Tax Services practice at PwC prior to her retirement in 2020.

Prior to her time in PwC ‘s WNTS practice she worked in the Office of Tax Policy at the U.S. Department of Treasury, most recently as Deputy to the Tax Legislative Counsel. In that role she shared responsibility for the development, analysis and implementation of federal tax policy through legislative initiatives, regulations, revenue rulings, revenue procedures and other types of published guidance. She received the Secretary of Treasury’s Honor Award for her work.

Annette received her MSBA (Taxation) and BSBA (Accounting), Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Cincinnati.

She currently lives in Cincinnati.
