Sara Shnider, PhD

Senior Director, One Mind Accelerator

Sara is the Senior Director of the One Mind Accelerator. As a member of the Accelerator executive team, she leads sourcing and programming for biopharma and medical device startups advancing breakthrough solutions in mental health. She brings over a decade of experience building and leading high impact partnerships across academia, industry, and non-profits at the intersection of neuroscience, drug development and entrepreneurship.

Prior to joining One Mind, Sara led a global portfolio of academic collaborations at Teva Pharmaceuticals, accelerating drug discovery and early clinical development in the neurosciences. She was responsible for sourcing and evaluating cutting-edge science with potential to accelerate R&D efforts, managing strategic research partnerships, and represented the company in major international public-private consortia. She also served as a mentor for emerging innovators through Teva’s entrepreneurship programs.

Earlier in her career, Sara served as Executive Director of a non-profit dedicated to advancing new therapies for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). She began her career at the technology transfer office of University of California, San Francisco, forging industry-academia research partnerships for academic faculty. 

Sara obtained her Ph.D. at Harvard University in developmental neurobiology, and her M.Sc. in bioinformatics at the Weizmann Institute of Science.
