Tanisha Carino, PhD

Tanisha Carino is a senior leader with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and public policy spanning government, public and private sector. Tanisha’s work has consistently focused on her deep commitment to improving health, accelerating innovation, and building programs and partnerships that put patients first. Dr. Carino is currently the head of strategy for U.S. corporate affairs at UCB. She has held senior leadership roles in the private sector at Alexion, GlaxoSmithKline, and Brunswick Group, in government at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and currently serves on the board of the WHO Foundation. Dr. Carino holds a PhD in health policy from Johns Hopkins University and maintains academic affiliations at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Duke’s Margolis Institute.
