
Vicky Nganga
Vicky is One Mind’s Development Coordinator, supporting fundraising operations, donor engagement, and event coordination efforts. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Washington State University Vancouver, where her passion for brain science began, as well as her commitment to community service through volunteer work.
Vicky began her nonprofit career at a youth development organization where she oversaw college readiness and career preparation programs for teens across the Portland Metro area. She later transitioned to the development team as the grants manager, securing major gifts and stewarding relationships with corporations, foundations, and community partners.
Born in Kenya, and now based in Vancouver, WA, Vicky is passionate about advancing mental health outcomes and bringing accessible resources to underserved communities. As an immigrant with lived experience, alongside loved ones and friends impacted by mental health challenges, she is deeply committed to increasing access to mental health resources.
Outside of work, Vicky spends her free time reading, traveling, and volunteering as a mentor for teens from her church community.
