Leading Mental Health Forward: One Mind’s 2025 Annual Impact Report
For 32 years, One Mind has worked to connect a fragmented mental health field, bringing together scientists, entrepreneurs, employers, and people with lived experience to accelerate progress that no single sector could achieve alone. Our newly released 2025 Annual Impact Report captures a milestone year in that mission.
As CEO Kathleen M. Pike, PhD, writes in this year’s letter:
“We’re bringing more intentionality to the leadership required to connect the dots and drive systems-level change.”
That intentionality showed up across every program in 2025, from the lab to the boardroom.
Highlights from 2025 Include:
- One Mind Research marked its 20th anniversary in 2025, celebrating two decades of backing scientists whose ideas are too early or too bold for traditional funding pathways. This year brought record momentum: the program’s largest-ever cohort and highest number of applications in its history. For the first time, the program also incorporated lived experience directly into its review process, bringing firsthand perspective to how the best science gets chosen and funded.
- The One Mind Accelerator welcomed 16 new mental health startups, the largest cohort to date, to the portfolio, which has now raised more than $1 billion in follow-on funding, a milestone that reflects not just investor confidence, but the compounding returns of a sustained bet on mental health innovation.
- One Mind at Work continued expanding its footprint among employers committed to making mental health part of organizational health, guided by tools like the Mental Health at Work Index, reaching more than 4 million employees in 2025 alone.
- One Mind Lived Experience continued to embed the perspectives of people living with serious mental illness into research, innovation, and public conversation, advising 11 One Mind Accelerator startups and 5 Rising Star researchers.
- One Mind generated $15.37 million in total revenue in 2025, reflecting a diversified base of individual donors, foundations, corporate partners, and signature events. True to our mission, 80% of total expenses went directly to program services advancing research, innovation, workplace engagement, and lived experience integration.
A Growing Network of Leaders
Behind every number is a deepening network: a Board of Directors, Scientific Advisory Board, and industry councils spanning biopharma, neurotech, healthcare payers, and providers, alongside signature convenings like the One Mind at Work Global Forum, the One Mind Summit on the Future of Mental Health Research, the One Mind Music Festival, and Apollo & Psyche, each bringing together unlikely partners to keep the mental health conversation moving forward.
2025 proved that when science, innovation, workplaces, and lived experience intersect, progress accelerates. One Mind is proud to lead that intersection, and grateful to the community of scientists, entrepreneurs, employers, and advocates who make it possible.
